My conservative read is simple: companies are not buying AI answers. They are buying auditable 工作流程(工作流程(workflow)s).
That is why the headline "Samsung Electronics brings ChatGPT and Codex to employees" matters. Samsung framed its 2026 AI transformation push as a change in how people think and work, not just another AI feature. That is a buying signal. The real question is no longer "which model sounds smarter?
" It is "which system gives us permissions, review steps, and accountability?"
OpenAI described Codex in May 2025 as a cloud agent that can run tasks in parallel inside isolated sandboxes, with terminal logs and test results attached for review. Axios added in June 2026 that OpenAI was pushing Codex beyond coding into email, docs, calendars, spreadsheets, and messaging. That looks much more like 工作流程(workflow) control than a normal chat tab.
Most teams think they need a smarter model. What they actually need is fewer window switches. My working split is this: Codex is better for helping you see the problem clearly first, then execute with a reviewable trail. ChatGPT is better for bringing the rest of the work to a clean finish.
