My conservative read is simpler: the entry point for team agents is the channel, not the IDE.

The strongest signal was not another model claim. In A Fireside Chat with Cat and Thariq from the Claude Code team, Cat said internal Claude Tag already touches 65% of pull requests in product engineering. That points to a shared, asynchronous work surface, not just a better solo assistant.

The other detail that stuck with me sounds almost boring: one Markdown memory file per channel. That is exactly why it matters. In a shared team space, scope, visibility, and 交接(handoff) discipline matter more than a fancy memory stack. Anthropic's own Claude Tag notes point the same way: shared channel, shared context, async execution.

That is why I would not reduce this to "Slack bot for coding." Once the agent lives in a channel, permissions and team norms become part of the product. Claude Code is better for helping you see the problem clearly first. Claude is better for carrying the rest of the work through to completion.

The line worth sharing is this: the real discussion trigger is rarely "the model got stronger." It is "why was the strongest thing not shipped directly?
