The real Claude Code upgrade isn't a smarter answer. It's a work crew that can fan out to hundreds.
If you mostly use Claude like a chat buddy and occasional writing helper, this is the part that can mess with your expectations. The easy mistake is treating Claude Code and Claude like the same thing with different scores, then wondering why one suddenly feels stricter.
I opened the changelog looking for the usual "did it get better?" story. Plot twist: Week 22 puts a split-the-big-job system right up front, and the example is not fixing 1 file but moving a pattern across a whole project. Then the workflow docs go even bigger: dozens to hundreds of helpers and even a 500-file migration.
That is the before/after that matters. This is a shift from one assistant answering in one window to one lead splitting chores across a noisy room full of helpers 👀
The thing is, that sounds exciting until you realize it also changes the limits. A team lead still needs rules, approvals, and checks, so this is not "press a button and go to sleep." It's better at dividing big messy work, not magically replacing judgment.
